Not An End

After making our way across Spain, we moved at a pretty quick pace hitting three more countries! We had a busy weekend in Florence that we some how pulled together upon arriving at one of the cutest Airbnb's of the trip.  We struggled a little bit with the trains, but the one time we were running late was the only delay we encountered on the whole trip, must've had some good karma in the bank for that one.

We gathered up my suitcase-life that I had left behind in London to stay in a sunny, south side, zone-2 flat, such a dramatic change from sadpartment! I was able to show off some of my favorite places to my mom and checked off some of the remaining items on my wish list. Can you believe that this was the first time I had high tea while I was in London!?

With a queasy cab ride through traffic to get out of London, Iceland felt like a breath of fresh air or like a slap of icy wind depending on where we were. The Game of Thrones tour was fantastic with great weather and quirky guide, thanks to everyone who helped us make up our mind. The trip to Iceland also included some incredibly delicious food alternated with cheap mini mart hotdogs. We ended this country, and the entire crazy expedition with a trip to Blue Lagoon on our way to the airport. Lounging around in the hot mineral water, surrounded by the most surreal landscape, weary but content with my mom, felt like just the right way to conclude the Wild Whitney Women Euro Tour 2015.

Now two? three? days later we are back home in Colorado, and as the sun has started to peak its way through the cloud,s I am realizing it's actually summer. My last summer as a student, a summer that right now looks like a blank slate, a black hole, and an open door all at the same time. Life hasn't stopped moving (even though I've stopped for the moment) and I am hoping that I can send it in a direction that brings me joy, not just a job.

Hopefully within the next week I can share some of my summer plans and catch up on all my other travels from the semester, so stay tuned!
